Catwalk Bar and Lounge celebrated its fifth anniversary in spectacular fashion, hosting a high-energy, glamour-filled event that drew Kampala’s vibrant social scene. The celebration, held in partnership with luxury tequila brand Don Julio, showcased how far the lounge has evolved over the past five years.
Guests arrived to a striking black carpet, where Ugandan socialites stepped out in their finest outfits, turning the entrance into a runway-worthy moment. Every stride offered a perfect photo and video opportunity, capturing the spirit of the milestone event.
As the night unfolded, Don Julio reinforced its reputation for delivering elevated party experiences, blending premium tequila with top-tier service.
The bottle presentations were a standout attraction—waitresses carried bottles adorned with lights and pomp, accompanied by the signature bell-dong effect, turning each delivery into a mini performance.
Judie Nandekya, Senior Brand Manager for Tequila and Rum, East Africa, said the collaboration signalled the start of something bigger.

Music was central to the night’s energy. DJs Hady and Liito opened with nostalgic old-school rhythms, setting a lively tone, while MCs Pest and Josh kept the crowd highly engaged. Sheila Gashumba, also known as DJ Lil Stunner, followed with an electrifying mix of Amapiano and Dancehall, sending guests into a dancing frenzy and filling the lounge with colour, movement and endless snapshots.
At around 2am, Sheebah hit the stage to roaring excitement. Revellers surged forward, phones raised, as Queen Karma delivered hit after hit with trademark vigour. The crowd sang along, danced, and soaked up every moment.
The celebration carried on into the early hours of Wednesday, leaving guests with lasting memories of a night that truly honoured Catwalk Lounge’s five-year journey.
