East Africa’s most celebrated hip-hop icon, Navio, is set to take his artistry to new heights with the highly anticipated Orchestra Concert at the iconic Serena Kampala Hotel on October 4, 2025.
The show, which begins promptly at 7:00 PM, will showcase a daring blend of his hip-hop legacy with sweeping orchestral arrangements in what is being hailed as a first-of-its-kind production on the continent.
The event will be a monumental cultural celebration, intertwining the sounds of Eastern, Western, and Northern Africa on one grand stage.
It marks Navio’s boldest artistic venture to date, as he reimagines his career-defining hits in a symphonic setting, creating a musical bridge between African rhythms and global orchestral traditions.
Born Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, Navio rose to prominence as a founding member of the pioneering Ugandan hip-hop group Klear Kut, which created the “Ugaflow” sound and became the first Ugandan hip-hop act to earn a Kora Award nomination.
His solo career has since produced chart-topping anthems such as Ngalo, Bugumu, One & Only, and the international hit On and On featuring American R&B star Keith Sweat.
Navio’s accolades are unmatched, making him the most awarded East African hip-hop artist in history.
He has claimed multiple titles at the Pearl of Africa Music Awards and African Entertainment Awards, alongside over 30 local and international nominations.
His collaborative portfolio includes work with Wizkid, Burna Boy, Sauti Sol, Sarkodie, Ice Prince, King Saha, Chameleone, and Bobi Wine, cementing his cross-genre and cross-border appeal.
In the upcoming Orchestra Concert, fans can expect an exhilarating journey through Navio’s greatest hits and iconic collaborations, with surprise appearances that may include internationally acclaimed artists.
“This concert is more than music — it’s East Africa’s heartbeat meeting global rhythms in symphonic harmony,” Navio said.
“I’m thrilled to share this immersive experience with my fans and celebrate the legacy we’ve built across the continent.”
