Evergreen music star Bebe Cool has officially announced that his much-anticipated album Break The Chains will be released on Friday, May 30, 2025.
Bebe Cool made the announcement on Friday during a TikTok Live session, where he interacted with some of the country’s leading TikTok content creators.
The album, which has been the subject of growing anticipation since it was first announced nearly two years ago, marks a bold new chapter in the singer’s career, blending his signature style with fresh Afrobeats influences and deeper storytelling.
The singer has already offered fans a glimpse into the new project through the release of two singles, Circumference and Motivation, which have been well received for showcasing a striking departure from his previous sound.
The change, Bebe Cool explained in earlier interviews, is a deliberate move to align with current African market trends that increasingly favour Afrobeats.
“Break the Chains is about cracking the glass ceiling to take Ugandan music to the table most local artists believe we are not welcome,” Bebe Cool said during the TikTok session.

The Break The Chains album sees the celebrated artist working with a new generation of producers and tapping into Uganda’s own evolving Afrobeats sound, collaborating with rising stars such as Joshua Baraka.
Bebe Cool said he hopes the project will inspire younger artists to explore new directions instead of clinging to familiar paths.
“Uganda has always missed out because artists who could have led the way are either too comfortable or too afraid to sail into the unknown,” he said.
Break The Chains follows the success of Bebe Cool’s previous album Go Mama, which earned him multiple continental nominations, including at the MTV Africa Music Awards, Channel O Music Video Awards, and the Kora Awards.
One of the standout tracks from Go Mama, Love You Everyday, remains Uganda’s most exported song on Spotify, with over 5.5 million streams and 14 million views on YouTube.
Bebe Cool promised to reveal more details about Break The Chains in the coming days as excitement builds toward the release date.
The album will be available across major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.
