The fruits of Warafiki’s hard work and resilience are beginning to manifest as the trio has received two nominations in HiPipo Music award.
The Fenon event’s signed girl group has received two nominations in the annual awards.
They are in contention with Irene Namatovu’s Shika, Ku Kiddo by John Blaq, Navio’s Mad Infinity, Sheeba’s Wakikuba, Spice Diana and Anko Ronie’s Forever in the video of the year category with their Tetubafanana song.
The girls have also been nominated in the breakthrough artist category and will be battling Aaronx, Elijah Kitaka, Fikie Gaza, Pretty Banks, Jamie Ategeka, Bridgette Mars and Spyda Mc.
The Warafiki girls are the members of the Ugandan all-girl band Warafiki, which consists of Tori (Victoria Nalugwa), Eyla (Damalie Nalugwa) and Treezy (Patricia Debra Nakalembe)
The trio have been friends for seven years and bonded over their shared love of music.
They are known for their energetic live performances and their debut single, "Bwekati".
