There has been yet another milestone in local broadcasting in Jinja City after Bridge FM hit the airwaves on Tuesday promising to turn Wairasa, Wairaka and Wabigalo into Singapore with just their programming and related CSR.

Broadcasting on 89.8 FM, the Mailo Mbili-based station that goes by the catch word "Sala Radio" is promising to air on the blueprint of community programming and be a vibrant addition to the Busoga media landscape.

Speaking at the launch in Mailo Mbili on Tuesday, Jinja City mayor Peter Kasolo  expressed enthusiasm about the positive impact the station is expected to have on the community.

The station according Bridge FM director Flora Nandala, the new radio station is dedicated to delivering a diverse range of music, news, and community programming.

“The station aims to cater for  a broad audience with its eclectic mix of content. Listeners can look forward to learning, being inspired , being motivated , being transformed, and expecting accurate information,” Nandala said.

“We are committed to being a cornerstone of the community. The station invites listeners to participate in live call-ins, social media interactions, and community events. “

She said they are  planning outreach programmes and partnerships with local schools, companies, and organisations to support various social initiatives.

Bridge FM becomes the ninth FM radio station broadcasting from Jinja after the likes of NBS, Smart FM, Baba FM, Busoga One and Kiira FM, adding to the huge airwave traffic that counts in 300s nationally.
