Ray G proves a point at Cricket Oval
Fans came in big numbers to support Ray G

Western Uganda-based singer  Reagan Muhairwe also known as Ray G  last Friday evening held a successful concert at the Lugogo cricket oval in Kampala.

This was his second concert in Kampala after the first one, two years ago at Imperial Royale Hotel.

Different from the first one, there was a lot to prove this time round .Ray G had everything to prove that a western based artiste can pull it off at that venue.

He didnt disappoint.

Throwing everything at this concert, Ray G even brought on board Global coaches as one of his partners and what was expected of them was to ferry people from Mbarara to cricket oval and this worked because by 9pm when he stepped on stage, the venue was full.

Among the songs he did in his three sessions included Make a way, Omusheshe with Spice Diana, Yoya with Levixone, Mirembe, Yebare, Tayari and Weena among others.

His fans could not help sing along every song of his as they were thrown into frenzy at Lugogo.

Midway through his concert, Ray G expressed gratitude to his fans and fellow musicians who supported and believed in him during the event.

Later, he took to his social media platforms to thank fans for showing him love by coming in large numbers .

"I thank the Almighty God . He blessed us with life, good weather, and set our music free. My heart is full. I am forever grateful. 10th May 2024, was a fundamental day in my music career and my life. God showed that when you believe, and work hard dreams become reality. I thank all my friends (fans) “abantu bangye” for the love and support like you always do. I can never take it for granted, because it pushes me to be the best version of myself," Ray G.

He didnt forget the sponsors who made it happen, especially mentioning  Next Media "my main sponsors for the overwhelming support. Thank you."
