Education

Makerere University is set to conduct the Bachelor of Laws pre-entry examination for the 2020/2021 academic year on Saturday 3, October 2020.

In a letter from the university's Academy Registrar Alfred Masikye Namoah, all candidates who had applied for the Law pre-entry examination have been invited to sit for the paper next month, while observing ministry of Health guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) against the spread of the Coronavirus.

"The examination will commence at 9:00am," the letter reads in part.

According to the registrar, all candidates will have to wear face masks, ensure social distancing and no one will be allowed to borrow items such as pens, pencils among others.

Makerere, on its part, said it will ensure that "all windows are opened to promote circulation of fresh air, measure everyone's temperature before accessing the examination venue and avail sanitisers in the examination rooms for all candidates."

The Law Pre-entry examination is sat by all candidates that wish to be admitted to the Bachelor of Laws programme at Makerere University.

Admission depends on each candidate's performance in the exam.
