Shilo Nile Star Nursery and Primary School broke into celebration following the release of the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results, after posting one of the strongest performances in Buikwe District.

According to the school director, Jane Okalang, all 48 pupils who sat the national examinations passed, with 40 candidates attaining Division One and the remaining eight graded in Division Two.

“We are extremely grateful for this performance. All our candidates passed, and several of them scored five aggregates. We thank the Lord for this success,” Okalang said, attributing the results to teamwork, discipline and commitment from both teachers and learners.

The performance places Shilo Nile Star among the top-performing primary schools in the district and continues a trend of strong results in recent years.

Among the standout candidates was Nazir Muhammad, who scored five aggregates to emerge as the school’s best performer.

Speaking after the release of the results, Nazir credited his teachers for their support and dedication throughout his primary education.

“I would like to thank our teachers for nurturing us well, which has enabled us to perform excellently,” he said.

Nazir also revealed his long-term ambition to pursue a career in medicine, saying he hopes to become a medical doctor, inspired by the encouragement and guidance he received at the school.

Parents and education stakeholders have consistently linked the school’s performance to a focused academic programme, experienced teaching staff and close monitoring of learners’ progress.

As celebrations continued, the school administration said it remains committed to maintaining high academic standards and nurturing pupils to excel both academically and morally.
