The International University of East Africa in Kansanga has announced it has started admissions for the August intake for its one- year pre-undergraduate bridging program designed for students who may not have met the admission requirements for degree or diploma programs.
“You didn’t qualify directly for university? No stress because IUEA has got your back! Our one -year course gets you into your dream degree whether your into Science or Arts. IUEA helps you level up,” officials said.
The higher education certificate program is recognized as a remedial programme intentioned to bridge the gap for students who completed UACE but do not meet the existing minimum direct entry requirements.

It provides foundational knowledge and skills in specific subject areas to help students prepare for higher education.
According to officials from IUEA, by introducing the higher education certificate program, they seeks to increase university enrollment , not only in the country but the region at large.
The program is said to be a time and cost-effective venture instead of repeating as prefer going for it and then proceed to the degrees instead of studying for a two-year diploma program and later upgrading to a degree.
