Delegates at the ongoing 19th Non-Aligned Movement meeting at Speke Resort Munyonyo continue to express concern over ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and in Palestine.

While addressing delegates at the ongoing Non-Aligned Movement in Kampala, Uganda’s Vice President Jessica Alupo raised concerns over the ongoing geo-political tensions and conflicts, in Gaza and Ukraine.

“They not only pose challenges to the core principles of our movement, but they have also caused the loss of human lives, and destruction of property, among others,” Alupo remarked.

She believes that countries in the conceptual Global South, where Uganda belongs have regularly come together to discuss issues of common interests and concern, adding that meetings of this nature present opportunities to continue constructive conversation on challenging global issues.
