In a significant move towards advancing environmental sustainability in East Africa, Next Media and 1MTN have formed a strategic partnership for the upcoming East Africa Carbon Markets Forum (EACMF), scheduled for May 9th-10th, 2024.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding underscores a joint commitment to enhancing the effectiveness of carbon markets and promoting environmental stewardship in the region.

The signing ceremony, attended by key dignitaries including Next Media's Group CEO, Kin Kariisa, and Anete Garoza, Chief Climate Officer/Co-Founder of 1MTN, along with Girisch Nair, the Honorary Consul of Estonia, and members of their respective teams, marks an important milestone in collaborative efforts to address climate change and environmental degradation.

This partnership signifies Next Media and 1MTN's shared dedication to tackling pressing environmental challenges through collaboration and innovation.
