As a tourism entrepreneur and founder of AGE Safaris Ltd, Kyaremera underscored the need for Ugandans in the diaspora to act as tourism ambassadors.

"Uganda is blessed with natural beauty and diverse attractions," she stated. "There's more that you in the diaspora can do to promote the country."

The "62 Since 62" campaign celebrating Uganda’s 62 years of independence was a collaboration between Ugandan youth in the UK and local creatives.

It included nationwide tours to showcase Uganda's attractions, with content to be broadcast worldwide.

The project was supported by Uganda’s State House, Ministry of Tourism, and various tourism bodies, along with private-sector partners.

In addition to promoting tourism, Kyaremera highlighted the economic impact of the diaspora community, whose remittances amount to $1.2 billion annually.

She acknowledged their vital role in supporting Uganda's economy and encouraged further engagement as tourism investors and advocates.

Tourism officials also advocated for investments, citing opportunities in food services, accommodations, and conservation centers.

Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Executive Director Samuel John Mwandha called for partnerships to expand wildlife education and conservation sites.

Uganda aims to attract five million tourists over the next decade, up from the pre-pandemic figure of 1.5 million.

Kyaremera believes that reaching this goal would transform the economy and urged the diaspora community to seize investment opportunities.

As Uganda continues its post-pandemic recovery, Kyaremera’s message reinforced the government's commitment to revitalizing tourism, with support from both domestic and international stakeholders.
