ACCA Uganda and Deloitte Uganda have extended their strategic partnership to elevate further the Chief Financial Officer (CFOs) role in the country. The renewed collaboration, spanning three years, aims to enhance capacity building, recognize excellence, and foster professional development among CFOs.
The prestigious CFO Awards is a cornerstone of the partnership, now in its eighth edition. This year’s theme, “Pushing Boundaries, Exploring the Growth Mindset,” underscores the evolving role of CFOs in today’s dynamic business landscape. Nominations for the awards are open until September 6, 2024.
Beyond the awards, ACCA and Deloitte will introduce CFO Labs, focused on equipping financial leaders with essential skills to navigate complex business challenges. Quarterly forums will also be organized to facilitate knowledge sharing and networking among CFOs.
Charlotte Kukunda, Country Manager of ACCA Uganda, emphasized the importance of the partnership in supporting the growth of the finance profession. “We are committed to empowering CFOs with the tools and knowledge they need to excel,” she said.
Joseph Ssekabira, FCCA, Associate Director, Risk Advisory at Deloitte Uganda, echoed Kukunda’s sentiments, stating, “Our collaboration with ACCA is instrumental in recognizing and developing exceptional financial leadership in Uganda.”
