Kakiri Police Arrest Four, Recover Suspected Stolen Motorcycles in Wakiso Operation

Police in Kakiri have arrested four suspects and recovered three suspected stolen motorcycles and assorted motorcycle spare parts during an operation conducted in Kisenyi Cell, Kakiri Town Council, Wakiso District, on June 5, 2026.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire, the suspects have been identified as Sharif Bukeera, George Kakande, Kenneth Lukyamuzi and Catherine Labuchi.

The operation led to the recovery of motorcycles registered as UES 160N and UEJ 419G, both Bajaj Boxer models, as well as another Bajaj Boxer motorcycle without registration plates.

“We are working to establish ownership of the recovered exhibits,” Owoyesigire said.

He added that a case of possession of suspected stolen property has been registered, while efforts to recover additional stolen items and dismantle related networks are ongoing.

Police say the suspects remain in custody as investigations continue to determine their involvement in motorcycle theft and related criminal activity within the greater Kampala metropolitan area.

Authorities have urged members of the public who may have lost motorcycles to report to Kakiri Police Station to assist in identifying the recovered exhibits and support ongoing investigations.
