Police in Hoima District are holding a woman in connection with the murder of her husband, George Asaba. The incident reportedly occurred after Asaba refused to eat the supper she had prepared.

Naima Ntegeka allegedly conspired with another adult, identified as Scovia, during the altercation.

According to Albertine South Police spokesperson Julius Hakiza, the incident happened when Asaba returned home late and declined the food offered by Ntegeka.

The refusal led to a violent confrontation, and Scovia reportedly joined Ntegeka, resulting in Asaba’s death.

Both Ntegeka and Scovia have been arrested and are detained at Hoima Central Police Station while investigations continue.

In a related development, police in Hoima have arrested 25 suspects over cattle theft and vandalism in the district. The suspects are alleged to have led others in slaughtering cattle grazing on Kapapi land.

Hakiza noted that investigations into the cattle theft cases are ongoing, and the police have initiated community engagement efforts to resolve the matter amicably.
