Mityana Police Arrest Three Over Aggravated Robbery at Fuel Station

Preliminary investigations revealed that the security guard reported for duty at around 5pm on Monday and was attacked and killed during the night.

Police in Mityana have arrested three suspects in connection with the theft and murder that occurred at Moonlight Fuel Station in Bamunanika Cell, Mityana Municipal, Mityana District.

The incident happened on Monday night, March 24, 2025, when assailants attacked the fuel station, killing the security guard and making off with cash.

The deceased, identified as Kizito Otim, 28, was a resident of Bamunanika in Mityana Municipality.

Godrey Kitandwe, Rose Naluwemba, and a one Nakanjako, all residents of Bamunanika, were apprehended with the help of a police dog.

The pump attendant, who works alongside the security guard at night, was asleep at the time of the attack and was unaware of the incident.

The supervisor discovered the security guard’s body lying in a pool of blood at 5 am, along with a missing motorcycle, UBD 465P Bajaj Boxer.

The Police took the body to Mityana Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
