Security Guard Arrested for Stealing Shs 79 Million, Police Recover Shs 70 Million

Police in Kampala Metropolitan have arrested a security guard attached to Detailed Security Services for allegedly stealing Shs 79 million from his employer.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire, officers acted swiftly after receiving reports that the suspect had turned against his employer and fled with the money.

“On February 14, police in Kasangati responded to a case of aggravated robbery at Mukadwe Hardware in Wakiso, where the suspect allegedly grabbed the money and escaped on a motorcycle,” Owoyesigire said.

He added that police managed to intercept the suspect at Naalya Roundabout and recovered Shs 70 million.
