Police Launch Manhunt After Woman Is Raped and Strangled in Moroto

Police in Moroto District have launched a manhunt for unknown assailants after a 30-year-old woman, Adonga Narupei, was raped and strangled in Nakomoliwaret Village, Tapac Sub-county.
Her lifeless body was discovered along a road, about 200 metres from her home, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Residents have condemned the brutal act, with John Adupa, a local resident, expressing his distress.
"This is a terrible and shocking incident. We call upon the authorities to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice," he said.
A post-mortem report confirmed that Narupei died from strangulation following a brutal rape.
Karamoja Region Police Spokesperson Mike Longole assured the public that authorities are taking the case seriously.
"We are working closely with the community and other stakeholders to ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended and that justice is served," he stated.
Police have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any leads that could help in tracking down those responsible for the heinous crime.
