Authorities are investigating a suspected arson attack that claimed the life of a woman identified as Juliet from  Mugema Zone in Kasubi Parish,

Police have detained two men as part of their ongoing probe, raising concerns about the dangers of domestic disputes spiraling into deadly outcomes.

The tragedy unfolded early in the morning, when a fire engulfed the home of Kiwanuka Charles, resulting in the death of his partner, Juliet.

Preliminary findings suggest the blaze was not accidental but a premeditated act of revenge rooted in a complex love affair.

Police spokesperson Rusoke Kituuma disclosed that two suspects, Ssenfuka James and Mpanga Wilberforce, have been apprehended.

According to early police reports, Ssenfuka James, allegedly involved in an affair with Juliet, may have set the fire in retaliation.

“Preliminary findings suggest that this tragic fire was not an accident but rather an act of revenge, potentially linked to a love affair,” said Kituuma.

The incident has renewed community concerns over the dangers associated with unresolved personal conflicts.

In light of this tragedy, police are urging the public to seek peaceful solutions and avoid allowing disputes to escalate into violence.
