The Busoga Consortium has extended its warmest congratulations to Sarah Sambya on her swearing-in as the acting District Chairperson of Kamuli District.

The ceremony took place on Monday, June, 16, 2025, and was presided over by the District Magistrate.

Sambya's appointment comes at a time of deep reflection and collective mourning, following the untimely passing of the district's former chairperson, Mr. Maxwell Kuwembula.

The Director General of the Busoga Consortium Anthony Mula says they believe that Sambya's leadership will bring hope, continuity, and stability to the district.

The consortium expressed confidence in Sambya's ability to lead the district with compassion, resilience, and a clear vision for progress.

Mula says that Sambya's leadership is seen as a pivotal moment to honour the legacy of Mr. Kuwembula by upholding the values he championed—integrity, unity, and community-driven development.
