MTN Uganda has launched the Kabode Supa, a new affordable smartphone designed to make digital access more inclusive for Ugandans.
The device, introduced under the telco’s innovative Mpola Mpola device financing scheme, is now available at an initial deposit of just Shs45,000, with the balance payable in daily, weekly, or monthly installments.
The new device is part of MTN’s ongoing mission to bridge Uganda’s digital divide, targeting individuals who may not be able to pay the full cost of a smartphone upfront.
With daily payments capped at Shs1,000, the Kabode Supa offers a practical route to smartphone ownership, especially for students, entrepreneurs, and other low-income earners.
“The Kabode Supa is more than just a smartphone; it’s a digital lifeline,” said Mackinon Kabarole, Acting Chief Marketing Officer at MTN Uganda.
“We believe everyone deserves the benefits of a modern connected life. This device empowers users to connect, learn, and thrive — because together, our vibes are unstoppable.”
Enhanced Features for Everyday Use
The Kabode Supa comes equipped with:
- A larger battery for extended use,
- More RAM and storage for seamless multitasking,
- An 8MP rear and 2MP front camera for high-quality photos and video calls,
- Plus 16GB of free data, delivered over 8 months, to kickstart users' online experience.
The flexible payment plan allows customers to choose between:
- Shs900 daily
- Shs6,250 weekly
- Shs25,000 monthly, all over an 8-month period. The total cost includes all government taxes.
Payments are now fully automated, streamlining the experience for users. To check eligibility, customers can dial 165521# and follow the prompts. The Kabode Supa is available at all MTN Shops across the country.

MTN Uganda’s Mpola Mpola financing model has already helped more than 2 million Ugandans own smartphones.
According to the company, digitally connected users enjoy better access to education, business opportunities, and government services — ultimately contributing to improved quality of life.

The Kabode Supa is now on sale at all MTN service centres and shops nationwide. Customers can visit any outlet to make their deposit and begin their payment plan.
