Farmer Wins Shs50 Million Grand Prize in UBL’s Laga Swagga Promotion

Susan Kyokusiima, a farmer and bar owner from Mitoma District, has won a grand prize of Shs50 million in the Uganda Breweries Limited's Laga Swagga campaign.
The three-month campaign rewarded thousands of participants across the nation with cash, airtime, and other prizes, culminating in Ms Kyokusiima’s life-changing win.

Ms Kyokusiima shared her excitement upon receiving the grand prize, explaining that she joined the campaign with the humble aim of winning airtime.
"I saw my customers participating in the Laga Swagga campaign and asked them to help me join," she said.
"I only joined to get airtime; now look at what UBL has rewarded me with—life-changing money! I’ve always enjoyed Uganda Waragi, but I never imagined I’d win such a big amount."
At the event, other winners included Kavuma Matthews, who took home Shs2.5 million, and Buyondo Douglas, who won Shs500,000.
Hillary Baguma, UBL’s Brand Manager for Mainstream Spirits, praised the campaign’s success.
"The main goal of *Laga Swagga* has been to celebrate and give back to our loyal consumers, and the response has been overwhelming," Baguma remarked.
"Our consumers are passionate about the brand, and this campaign has allowed us to engage with them meaningfully."
