Texol Energies Brightens Katwe with Street Lights and Humps Installation

KAMPALA | Katwe community members have welcomed a significant boost in road safety and neighborhood development with the recent installation of new street lights and speed humps, funded by Texol Energies.

Katwe LC2 chairlady Jamila Naviga expressed gratitude for the positive changes Texol Energies has brought to Katwe.

"We are grateful for the changes Texol has brought. The lights and humps have improved our safety, and we are thankful for the jobs they’ve provided to our children,” she said, highlighting the project’s impact on both safety and local employment.

The project also benefits from close coordination with local authorities to enhance security in the area.

OC Operations Katwe, ASP Asiimwe C., noted the strengthened partnership: “With askaris stationed at Texol, we are better able to keep the neighborhood safe, and this partnership has greatly benefited the community.”

The launch event featured an enthusiastic endorsement from the Mayor of Katwe, Kasirye Nganda Ali, who praised Texol Energies for its dedication to the community.

“I am not here by accident—I am truly excited to be part of this! I want to personally thank the Managing Director, Mr Abdalla Mohammed, for keeping his promise and standing by his word. I urge all of us to make Texol our go-to station. Let’s fuel up from here and spread the word,” Mayor Kasirye encouraged, underscoring the importance of supporting local businesses that invest in community welfare.

Although Managing Director Abdalla Mohammed was unable to attend, he conveyed his appreciation and commitment to Katwe’s growth through a representative.

“Texol Energies is not just here to fuel vehicles; we are committed to fueling the progress and safety of the communities we serve. We remain dedicated to working hand in hand with the people of Katwe to create a brighter and safer future for all,” he shared.
