ChapChap Africa, a leading mobile money agent platform in Uganda, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Rugadya as the new chairperson  of its board of directors.

Mr. Rugadya brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in strategic leadership across several sectors, making them an ideal leader for ChapChap Africa during this pivotal time.

He has a distinguished career spanning over 15 years, including has his time as Managing Director at MOGAS across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and  Rwanda where he led a dynamic team and delivered quality products and services to the customers and stakeholders.

He currently serves as the CEO/Consultant of the UTG Wood Mill Project which is funded by Gatsby Africa Foundation to enable Ugandan commercial tree growers to access high-value timber markets by securing investment.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Rugadya as our new Board Chair,” said Mr. Emmanuel Emodek, founder and  director of ChapChap Africa.

“His extensive experience and deep understanding of the growth strategies, business operations and stakeholder engagement will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission and expand our impact across Africa.”

As chair, Mr. Rugadya will lead the Board in guiding the strategic direction of ChapChap Africa, overseeing governance, and ensuring that the organization remains focused on its goals of fostering sustainable development, promoting innovative solutions, and improving livelihoods throughout the region.
