United Bank for Africa dismisses claims of shs1bn stolen from client's account

United Bank for Africa Uganda Limited has dismissed as untrue, claims that one of their clients lost shs1 billion which was on the accounts.

Reports last week indicated that the money had mysteriously left the customer's account.

In a statement on Monday, UBA said the claims are unfounded.

standards of security and transparency," the bank said in a statement.

The bank said it will continue priding itself in putting its customers first " with utmost importance on customer satisfaction and trust."

"UBA Uganda emphasizes its dedication to safeguarding all customer accounts against unauthorized access and fraudulent activities. The Bank operates under stringent security protocols and remains vigilant in protecting its customers' financial assets."

The bank said it prides in a robust  complaints handling policy "designed to address and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively."
