The State Minister Agriculture and Fisheries in charge of Animal Industry, Bright Rwamirama, addressed Parliament acknowledging the challenges faced by the Agriculture Cluster Development Project (ACDP) while highlighting notable success stories in several districts.
During the plenary session, Rwamirama emphasized that despite numerous obstacles, the ACDP has achieved significant progress in districts such as Rubanda, Rukiga, and Kabale.
"We have encountered various challenges with the ACDP, but we must also recognize the success stories registered in several districts," he stated.
The minister's remarks were met with mixed reactions from members of Parliament, who raised concerns about the persistent issues plaguing the project.
However, Rwamirama assured them that efforts are ongoing to address these challenges and build on the successes achieved thus far.
The ACDP, a government initiative aimed at improving agricultural productivity and market access, has been pivotal in transforming agricultural practices in targeted districts.
The successes in Rubanda, Rukiga, and Kabale are seen as a testament to the potential of the project when effectively implemented.
