Ugandans Call for Improved Working Conditions and Minimum Wage on Labor Day
In commemoration of National Labor Day, Ugandans voiced their aspirations for better working conditions and a minimum wage to ensure fair compensation for their hard work. Among them, Siranda Gerald Blacks emphasized the need for reworked labor conditions to guarantee workers' well-being.
"We are hard workers, but we need to rework the conditions of our work to establish a minimum wage. Workers should benefit adequately from their contributions," stated Siranda Gerald Blacks.

Gerald highlighted the essential aspects that need improvement, including healthcare, housing, and education. He stressed the importance of ensuring access to quality education for workers' children, reliable transportation, decent housing, and adequate nutrition.
"We want to improve the health status, housing, schooling, and overall well-being of workers. Every worker should be assured of their children's education, transportation, housing, and food," Gerald added.
As Uganda reflects on the significance of Labor Day, Gerald's sentiments echo the broader call for comprehensive reforms to uplift workers and their families across the nation.
