Two renowned Ugandan chefs, Angelo Katto Mwesiga (Chef Angelo) and Hannat Nabadda Nakayemba (Chef Hannat), are set to mesmerize guests with their culinary masterpieces infused with the world's leading single malt whisky—The Singleton.

Chef Angelo, also known as Angelo Katto Mwesiga, embarked on his culinary journey from a humble kitchen to the forefront of culinary innovation. His passion for preparing meals for friends blossomed into a full-fledged career aspiration during his university days.

Transitioning from economics to culinary management, Chef Angelo's determination propelled him from a waiter to a pastry chef in Malaysia within an astonishing six months.

At the Singleton Meets Chef Versus event, Angelo will showcase his culinary prowess by creatively incorporating Singleton malt whisky into each course. When asked about his approach to including the Singleton in his menu, Angelo simply promised a symphony of flavours throughout the showdown.

"As chefs, we are challenged to infuse almost anything into our meals, albeit creatively. On Saturday, I will demonstrate to food lovers how to curate delicious meals with Singleton as one of the key ingredients. It won't be an easy feat, as alcohol naturally evaporates when exposed to heat, but the magic lies in preserving the flavours until the final product," he said.

Chef Hannat, also known as Hannat Nabadda Nakayemba, has been the driving force behind The Food Library for nearly a decade, where her culinary brilliance shines through every dish.

Motivated by the philosophy that "a chef is only as good as their last meal," Hannat's journey to culinary greatness began at a young age, culminating in her enrollment at Capsicum Culinary School in South Africa.

Under the guidance of esteemed chefs like renowned 'Salt Chef' Craig Cormack and Bertuss Berlín, Hannat mastered the delicate balance of flavours and textures.

This Saturday, Chef Hannat will mesmerize her fans with a meticulously crafted menu for the Singleton Meets Chef Versus event. The most remarkable aspect of this menu is that it deeply complements and enhances the flavours of The Singleton whisky.
