Deputy Speaker Tayebwa relishes Golf Impact to economy

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa believes that golf has more potential to attract big investors in the country on top of being a massive tourism attraction.

Tayebwa, an amateur golfer himself, was officially teeing off the 2024 ABSA Bank Uganda golf Open Pro-Am on Tuesday at the Entebbe golf club.

“As a government official, I want to look at it from the tourism aspect. I am looking forward to when we are hosting DP World and we are able to host big people from all over the world,” he said.

“Research shows that golfers are the biggest spenders. So, it would support tourism very much,” added Tayebwa, who is happy with the level at which golf is growing.
