Kagugube reported that the government-funded school, which did not have any candidates of its own this year, had arranged for 164 PLE candidates from seven private schools to sit under its center number.

A monitoring team, including Kagugube, an inspector, and an exam supervisor, discovered the malpractice when they found multiple teachers inside classrooms, allegedly answering exam questions for students.

Upon being caught, the teachers attempted to flee, but 30 were captured and taken to the police station for questioning. Authorities are still searching for other individuals involved in the incident.

It is suggested that the school’s poor performance last year led to a decline in enrolment, with some parents pulling their children out over concerns about their academic success.
