Texol Energies Unveils School Gardening Project to Promote Environmental Sustainability
Texol Energies Company has unveiled an innovative gardening project aimed at planting trees around schools to promote environmental sustainability.
During the launch, Students were urged to embrace and conserve the environment as a way of protecting biodiversity as well as conserving natural resources while at school and their homes.

The project was launched at Taibah International school in Bwebajja Wakiso district
The project is also aimed at promoting food security and long-term environmental sustainability programs targeting institutions across the country.
According to Nanyonjo Annet, the Head teacher of Taibah International School, the initiative will also boost the nutritious values of students as the gardening focuses on planting Hass avocado across the school.
“We are glad for this initiative, first of all, Taibah Insertional School is a green school. so, we are adding to the green environment. This is another opportunity to engage our students in promoting environmental sustainability and creating lasting impact” Nanyonjo said.
During the launch, students engaged in climate debate sessions to share their knowledge about climate change mitigation measures as well conserving the environment
She added the students will also be educated on how to protect the environment as well as preserving the ecosystem and habitats.
She added, “we have assigned the teacher to ensure the protection of our planted trees against being destroyed by both learners and monkeys that all over this place”
Tony Kosha, Texol brands and marketing officer said the project will help in mitigating climate change as well as boosting avocado exports as the target of the company.
“We are partnering with schools given the fact that knowledge is disseminated here, so these students are able to push the agenda on climate change through such projects and we also want Uganda become one of the exporters of Hass avocado”
Texol energies partnered with agro based avocado company Musubi Farms to support the growing of Hass Avocado across the region emphasising on the role of the nutritious fruit towards children and its readiness on the market.
