Rotary Club of Kampala Kibuli starts five-year sickle cell awareness campaign
The Rotary club of Kampala Kibuli led by their President Julie J Kariisa have kick started a five year awareness campaign of sickle cell.
“We are starting our 3-5year campaign against the battle of fighting sickle cell, donate blood and also test and know your status, today we have come to Kibuli Secondary School to fight this battle for the next year," she said.

She also highlighted the need for a collective battle to fight the disease where he led a group of students of Kibuli Secondary School to plant trees as a symbolized commitment to nurturing and sustaining the country’s natural heritage for future generations.
While progress has been made, continued efforts are needed to improve the quality of life for individuals with sickle cell disease in Uganda, reduce stigma, and ensure adequate healthcare services are accessible to all affected individuals.
