Mr. Ibu,whose real name was John Ikechukwu Okafor breathed his last on March 2nd 2024, leaving behind a significant and enduring legacy in the Nigerian entertainment industry, also transcending borders.. He was a beloved comedian and actor who captured hearts and sparked laughter for decades.

These movies won him several accolades including Best Movie Actor of the Year Award (2014) Presented by the Peace Ambassadors of Nigeria at Mr. Ibu's birthday celebration in Owerri, this award acknowledged his dedication and excellence in the film industry, Governor's Award (Enugu State) for best Comedian to mention but a few.

Away from acting, John Okafor was known for his generosity and often used his platform to support various philanthropic endeavors, particularly those focused on improving the lives of Children.Although he is far gone, his comedic legacy lives on through his numerous films and television appearances.
