Rotary District 9214 Governor Christine Kawooya Kyeyune has urged the Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf to prioritize partnerships, collaboration and visibility, saying Rotary’s future impact will depend on strong alliances across clubs and with the private sector.

Rotary District Governor 9214 Christine Kawooya Kyeyune has challenged the Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf to champion partnerships and collaboration as key drivers of Rotary’s impact, during her first official visit to the club in 2026.

Kawooya made the call while addressing Rotarians and guests at the Kigo Seven Lakes Golf Resort, marking a significant milestone for the relatively young but fast-growing club within the district.

She emphasized that Rotary’s ability to deliver sustainable change increasingly depends on cooperation between clubs, cross-district collaboration and strategic engagement with companies that share Rotary’s values of service above self.

“Our impact grows when we work together,” Kawooya said, urging Rotary clubs to break silos, collaborate more intentionally and build strong partnerships with the private sector to scale projects and increase visibility.

During her address, the district governor commended Next Media for its role in amplifying Rotary’s work across Uganda.

She singled out platforms such as NBS TV and Afromobile for consistently highlighting Rotary initiatives, helping to bring service projects closer to the public and inspire broader community participation.

The visit also featured a moment of recognition when Kin Kariisa, President of the Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf and Chief Executive of Next Media, was honoured as an Amplifier of Impact.

The recognition acknowledged his contribution to using media as a force for good by spotlighting Rotary’s humanitarian work and strengthening the organisation’s public image.
