The Member of Parliament for Samia-Bugwe Central in Busia district, Denis Nyangweso, has expressed deep concern over the slow implementation of government programs in his constituency, leaving residents frustrated and disillusioned.
"The slow pace of implementation is not only frustrating but also undermines the government's commitment to development," Nyangweso said.
"I am particularly concerned about the rural electrification program, where electric poles were erected three years ago but remain wire-less to date."
Nyangweso lamented that the community has been plunged into darkness, awaiting the completion of the project. "It's unacceptable that our people are still living in darkness, despite the government's promise to bring light to their homes," he said.
The MP also highlighted the failed promise to convert Busiho PTC structures into a government-aided secondary school.
"Despite initial assurances, the project has stalled, leaving our children without access to quality education," Nyangweso said.
"I urge the responsible authorities to take immediate action to address these delays and restore the people's faith in government programs."
Residents of Samia-Bugwe Central share Nyangweso's frustration, citing the slow implementation of government programs as a major hindrance to development.
"We are tired of waiting for promises to be fulfilled," said one resident. "We need action, not words."
Nyangweso has vowed to continue pushing for the implementation of these programs, ensuring that his constituents receive the services they deserve. "I will not rest until our people receive the quality services they deserve," he said."
