The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has appointed the Minister of Health Dr Jane Ruth Aceng as its Coordinator Lango Sub Region.
Others appointed include Tonny Ayoo, the Assistant Coordinator, Secretary Joe Makim Omara, Publicity: Emmanuel Oyite, Youth Council Representative: Dr. Mercy Lakisa, Elderly Council Representative, James Olobo Dubai, PWD Council Representative, Rebecca Alwedo Ogole, Women Council Representative Adia Rebecca Moro.
The new leadership team to oversee operations in the Lango Sub Region, according to PLU General Secretary David Kabanda.
He expressed confidence in the new team's "dedication and commitment to PLU's values of Patriotism and combating corruption and wastage of Public resources."
"We envisage this team significantly contributing to our efforts in engaging and mobilizing the citizenry in Lango Sub Region towards transformation and Socio-Economic Development," Kabanda said.
The appointments come as the Patriotic League seeks to expand its influence and presence across Uganda.
It is believed that PLU was launched with the optimism of consolidating the support base and furthering ambitions for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba's presidency.
Muhoozi is currently the Chief of Defence Force of the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF).
