Thugs kill man, steal his motorcycle in Nakasongola
Police in Nakasongola have kicked off investigations into circumstances under which a man was killed by unknown assailants and later robbed his motorcycle.
According to the Savannah region police spokesperson, ASP Sam Twiineamazima ,the incident happened along on Sangira Kibira Road in Nakasongola Town Council at around 2:30 PM when Godfrey Jjuko, was discovered by his son, Gerald Kayondo.

Kayondo a boda boda cyclist working as a transporter for school children, was on his routine route from Nakasongola Model Primary School when he stumbled upon a body lying upside down in a trench. Upon closer inspection, he realized the deceased was his father.
"Kayondo a son of the deceased said that while he was coming from picking school going children from Nakasongola model primary school taking them to their respective homes as his daily work using Sangira Kibira road in Nakasongola Town Council Nakasongola District, he came across a person lying upside down in a trench along the same road and suspected to be dead. When he came closer, he identified him as his biological father one Godfrey Juuko" Twiineamazima stated.
Kayondo immediately informed his mother, and together they reported the incident to the Nakasongola Police Station.
The police responded promptly, registering a case of murder and aggravated robbery involving a motorcycle.
Critical evidence, such as gloves and pangas suspected to have been used in the crime, were recovered and the body of Juuko Godfrey was transported to Nakasongola Health Center IV mortuary for a postmortem examination.
He said investigations are underway.
