Police in Nakaseke District have launched an investigation into the tragic murder of a 28-year-old boda boda rider identified as Adam Jjuko, a resident of Kalule Village in Nyimbwa Subcounty, Luwero District.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at approximately 6:00 PM, Jjuko had picked up a passenger from Kalule Village, who requested to be taken to Nakaseke District.

However, when they reached Kyangato Village, the passenger allegedly struck Jjuko on the head with a metal object, leaving him critically injured.

The assailant then fled with the deceased’s motorcycle, a red Bajaj Boxer, registration number UFY 267F.

Fellow boda boda riders discovered Jjuko and rushed him to Bombo Hospital for urgent medical attention. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Savannah Regional Police spokesperson, ASP Twiineamazima Sam, confirmed the the incident, murder case opened and stated that more information will be provided as the investigation progresses.

The police urge anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward.

This violent act has shocked the local community, especially among the boda boda riders, who now call for heightened security measures to ensure safety.
