Uganda's beauty is worth sharing, tourism minister tells opposition
Minister of State for Tourism, Martin Mugarra, has challenged the Leader of Opposition, Joel Ssenyonyi, and the National Unity Platform (NUP) to showcase Uganda's beauty by touring the country and sharing positive messages.
Mugarra made the remarks during a plenary sitting, where he thanked Deputy Speaker, Thomas Tayebwa, for promoting Uganda's tourism by leading a team of tourists from Portugal and Maldives on a gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

The Minister emphasized that Uganda has a lot to offer, and it's time for the opposition to share the country's beauty with the world, rather than focusing on negative messages.
"I urge the Leader of Opposition and NUP to tour Uganda and share beautiful messages about our country," Mugarra said.
"We have a lot to showcase, from our stunning natural beauty to our rich cultural heritage."
Mugarra's challenge comes as Uganda seeks to boost its tourism industry, which has been impacted by negative publicity.
The minister believes that by working together, Ugandans can promote a positive image of their country and attract more tourists.
Ssenyonyi and NUP are yet to respond to the minister's challenge, but it remains to be seen if they will take up the offer to tour Uganda and share positive messages about the country.
