Uganda's Minister for Defense and Veteran Affairs, Jacob Oboth Oboth, has expressed his honor and privilege to represent President Yoweri Museveni at the 64th independence anniversary celebrations of Gabon in Libreville.

"I am privileged to represent His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni at the 64th Independence Anniversary of Gabon in Libreville," Minister Oboth said in a statement.

"This is a significant occasion for the people of Gabon and a great opportunity for us to strengthen our bilateral relations."

Minister Oboth's attendance at the celebrations is a testament to the strong diplomatic ties between Uganda and Gabon.

The two countries have enjoyed a long-standing relationship based on mutual respect and cooperation.

"I look forward to engaging with my counterparts and discussing ways to further strengthen our cooperation in areas such as defense, trade, and culture," Minister Oboth added.

The 64th independence anniversary of Gabon is a significant milestone in the country's history, marking its liberation from colonial rule. The celebrations will be attended by dignitaries from across the continent and beyond."
