Trade minister Mwebesa pledges support for forthcoming African export fair
The Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Francis Mwebesa has affirmed his full support for the upcoming African Export Fair .
The fair organized by Al Yaqubi Exhibitions Development and Organization Company will be held between September 14 and 17, 2024 at the "Abel Africa, Pearl of Africa" Hotel.

A number of regional and international companies from East and West African countries are expected to participate in the exhibition, which seeks to enhance Uganda's selection as the best investment destination in Africa, in addition to the presence of Arab companies from the Gulf countries and some major companies present in Uganda, such as Chinese, Indian and Russian companies.
Speaking on Thursday, Mwebesa pointed out that the exhibition will enhance Ugandan exports and open new horizons for cooperation between investment sectors in all countries, especially the Middle East sectors.
The minister directed his secretariat to work on everything that supports the exhibition and achieves the desired benefit.
The director of the organizing company, Mr. Awad Allah Yaqub, said that the exhibition is a great opportunity to discover the promising investment opportunities that Uganda enjoys, in addition to the great opportunities for cooperation between the major companies participating in the exhibition.
Al-Yaqoubi revealed the participation of many Arab and African companies, and explained that the exhibition includes more than 20 diverse commercial pavilions, in addition to a special forum for businessmen, as well as many cultural and musical programs.
He said he expects President Yoweri Museveni to open the exhibition.
