Ecobank launches premier banking services in Uganda
Ecobank has premier banking services in Uganda tan elite offering tailored to meet the sophisticated needs its affluent customers.
The new service will see customers get dedicated relationship managers, exclusive banking products, invitations to exclusive events and enhanced security and privacy.

“This service will offer more than banking to our customers. Because we understand our customers and appreciate how valuable their time, businesses and families are, we are bringing to them value,” said Grace Muliisa, the Managing Director at Ecobank Uganda.
She explained that the value will come in four ways, including personalized banking which frees them from day today interaction with the bank “because we will offer you a dedicated relationship manager whose role is to make sure they understand your financial requirements and will do exactly that.”
“We will also offer protection because we want you to feel protected, together with your wealth and family. We have worked with a couple of insurance companies and partners to ensure they provide this value to you. Protection will therefore come to you in form of life, property and wealth.”
Muliisa explained that with the new service, clients will receive priority treatment at the bank’s branches, call centres and digital channels but also gain access to exclusive events including networking opportunities, educational seminars and VIP experiences curated to enhance their personal and professional Iives.
“This what Ugandans need today. As a country, we have just entered the lower middle income status which is really big. It means today so many Ugandans require support when it comes to financial matters and it is what we are here to offer. We will educate them and walk this journey with them.”
Timothy Kiyimba, the head of consumer banking at Ecobank Uganda said this services will be available for customers who earn a salary of at least shs8 million, take a facility of shs200 million or if they have shs100 million that they want to keep with the bank will automatically qualify for this service.
“However, if you come to us and ask for a premier banking account, we will offer it but you will pay for it because there is a host of benefits,” Kiyimba said.
