The Kampala Serena Hotel was a hub of excitement on Friday night as the Timeless Frames Photo Exhibition brought together Uganda’s top tourism stakeholders, creative industry figures, media professionals, and photography enthusiasts.
The event, hosted by celebrated travel photographer Derrick Ssenyonyi, showcased Uganda’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage through a collection of captivating photographs.

Ssenyonyi’s work displayed stunning visuals of Uganda’s landscapes, wildlife, and cultural scenes, emphasizing the role of photography in shaping the country’s tourism narrative.
The artistic showcase was enhanced by a dynamic performance from Ugandan singer Lillian Mbabazi, whose soulful music provided the perfect backdrop to the evening.
The exhibition attracted an impressive guest list, including Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) CEO Lilly Ajarova and Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) Vice Chairperson Sarah Kagingo, alongside key figures from the tourism, media, and creative sectors.

Speaking at the event, Ms Ajarova highlighted the importance of photography in promoting Uganda globally.
"Visual storytelling is a key driver for tourism. It transcends borders, capturing the imagination of travelers worldwide and encouraging them to explore Uganda’s natural wonders and cultural richness," she said.
Mr Ssenyonyi's exhibition not only showcased artistic excellence but also spotlighted the growing influence of visual media in boosting tourism.
His lens took visitors on a journey through Uganda’s diverse landscapes, vibrant communities, and hidden gems, inviting adventurers and culture enthusiasts to experience the Pearl of Africa.
