Two Held Over Cattle Theft in Kapelebyong
Police in Kapelebyong District have arrested two suspects in connection with cattle theft after stolen animals were recovered during a joint security operation, as authorities intensify efforts to curb livestock crime in the Karamoja sub-region.

Two people have been arrested in connection with cattle theft in Kapelebyong District, police have confirmed.

The suspects, identified as Moses Ojakala and Ben Olupot, are currently being held at Kapelebyong Central Police Station as investigations continue.

According to the Karamoja Regional Police Spokesperson, IP Mike Longole, the duo was arrested during a joint security operation after four stolen bulls were recovered from them at Adipala Cattle Market.

“The suspects were intercepted by joint security forces while in possession of the stolen animals,” Longole said.
