Uganda Baati Hosts 'Give to Gain' Forum for Advance Women Empowerment

Uganda Baati Limited (UBL) has today hosted a high impact women’s empowerment engagement at its Head Office in Kampala, bringing together women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and partners for an afternoon dedicated to connection, inspiration, and shared growth.

Held under the theme “Give to Gain,” the engagement created a safe and supportive environment for participants to share experiences, build meaningful networks and make personal commitments toward uplifting one another.

A major highlight of the event was the unveiling of the interim governance structure of the Safal Circles, UBL Chapter, a strategic platform designed to strengthen mentorship, collaboration and leadership development among women within the UBL ecosystem. The initiative is expected to serve as a catalyst for sustained engagement and impact.

Through Safal Circles, UBL aims to institutionalize support systems that empower women to access opportunities, develop skills, and amplify their voices across professional and community spaces.

The governance structure will guide the chapter’s activities as it rolls out programs aligned to empowerment, accountability, and shared success.

Speaking at the event, UBL CEO George Arodi reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to gender inclusion and leadership development.

“At UBL, we believe that when women are empowered, communities prosper and institutions grow stronger. Creating spaces where women feel seen, heard, and supported is not just the right thing to do, it is essential for sustainable progress,” said Arodi.

In her remarks, Amelia Kyambadde, the event guest of honour, encouraged the women to believe in their worth, take initiativ and support one another.

“Do not wait to feel ready, start where you are, believe in your worth, and take the opportunity when it comes. And as you rise, lift another woman with you.”

By hosting the event and launching the Safal Circles, UBL Chapter governance framework, UBL continues to position itself as a forward looking organization committed to inclusive growth, strong internal culture,and meaningful social impact.
