Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi has urged residents of Bukomansimbi and Sembabule districts to elect leaders committed to improving community welfare, addressing local challenges, and ensuring accountable governance.
Speaking at Misanvu Trading Centre in Kibinge Sub-county, Bukomansimbi District, Mafabi highlighted persistent issues such as poor road infrastructure and high taxes that continue to affect livelihoods.
He noted that despite long-standing support for the ruling party, residents still face significant service delivery gaps.
Mafabi pledged that an FDC-led government would intensify the fight against corruption, review taxation policies, and strengthen public services including healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
He emphasized that curbing corruption would free resources that could be redirected to lower taxes, enhance social services, and support development programs.
The FDC flag bearer also outlined plans to promote job creation, boost production, and increase household incomes, measures he said would directly improve citizens’ welfare.
He encouraged voters to back leaders who prioritise accountability and community development and to participate actively in the upcoming elections.
