The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is the governing body for the organization, management and regulation of continental competitions for national teams. Every year, they organize the CAF Awards, which is an event that honors the best African football players. This year’s ceremony will take place in Marrakech, Morocco.

CAF) has released the list of the 10 finalists for the 2023 Africa Player of the Year trophy.
The list includes one Nigerian, four Moroccans, one Egyptian, two Cameroonians, one Senegalese and one Algerian.
Among them is Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen of Napoli, the top scorer in Italian Serie A last season.
He is followed by four
Moroccans: Yassine Bounou (Sevilla FC-Al Hilal), Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain), Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina-Manchester United) and Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla FC).
Also in contention are the
Egyptian Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), the Cameroonians Frank Anguissa (Napoli) and Vincent Aboubakar (Al Nassr-Besiktas), and the Algerian Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City-Al Ahli).
Senegalese Sadio Mane (Al-Nassr), the previous winner of the trophy, is also in the running for the award.
The ceremony will take place on December 11 at the Movenpick Hotel & Convention Center in Marrakech.
