Movit wins big at 2022 People's Choice Awards

Movit Products, one of Uganda's leading manufacturer of personal and body care products, scooped three accolades at the 2022 People's Choice Awards, emerging as the most recognized Ugandan company at the ceremony held on October 14 at Serena hotel Kampala.

The three awards include; Best Petroleum Jelly presented to Movit Baby Junior Jelly while Best Haircare and Herbal awards were presented to Movit Herbal Jelly and Movit Haircare products consecutively.

The awards were separately handed over to Movit Products officials by the minister of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives, Mwebesa Francis.

In his speech, Movit Products Ag Group Chief Category and Innovation Officer Robert Kitenda said amidst all the economic hardships experienced over time, Movit Products has for more than 23 years sailed through by riding on producing quality products.

Through the years, Movit Products has won several People’s Choice Awards as the best player in the industry.

In 2017, the company won the award for Best Cosmetics provider, and in 2018, Movit Products company was wholly recognised as Best Cosmetic Manufacturer while in 2021, the award for Best Body Care Products was presented to Movit.

"This year’s recognition cements our record as industry leaders,"Kitenda said.

People Choice Awards brainchild, George Muyimbwa explained the awards are based on people’s opinions on different products and services of various companies which are collected and compiled in a survey.

"The results from the survey form the basis for elimination and selection of winners," he said.

People’s Choice Awards is an annual event that seeks to drive business excellence through recognition of various business entities in Uganda.

The awards attract hundreds of industrialists from across the world.
