Kampala NRM chairpersons receive motorcycles
The NRM Secretary Genera, Richard Todwong has handed over 40 motorcycles to the party chairpersons in the five divisions of Central, Kawempe, Makindye, Nakawa and Rubaga that make up Kampala city.
Todwong who was in company of his deputy Rose Namayanja Nsereko handed over the bicycles to the NRM Vice chairperson for Kampala region to help chairpersons traverse their areas of jurisdiction

The NRM Secretary General said the motorcycles were part of the ledge made by President Museveni a few years ago with the party chairmen in other parts of the country having already got theirs.
“I encourage you to keep them well and use them effectively to enhance mobilization capacity of the ruling party,”Todwong said.
He cautioned the chairpersons against using the party property as Boda Bodas for personal gains, adding that such acts tantamount to bleach of rules.
“Motorcycles offered to you are strictly for NRM party work.”
The NRM supremo emphasized that the motorcycles were procured using the donations from friends and well-wishers of the ruling party and its national chairman, Yoweri Museveni who is also the president of Uganda.
Rose Namayanja Nsereko clarified that leaders from Kampala region had missed out in the first distribution exercise due to challenges that are related to how the NRM party is structured in the city as compared to
other districts.
She commended the leaders for having been patient to the party.
“I am very happy because our promise to these leaders has finally come to pass. I am confident that even NRM district Chairpersons will be able to receive their cars as promised,” Namayanja said.
Kampala vice chairman, Singh Katongole guided that all beneficiaries will be required to present their personal details to avoid forgeries and impersonation.
President Museveni in 2020 launched the distribution of motorcycles to NRM chairmen around the country as well as bicycles to all the village party chairpersons.
