UPL: Moses Waiswa becomes first signing for KCCA FC

Lugogo based KCCA FC have completed the signing of midfielder Moses Waiswa on a two year deal.

The 25 year old midfielder who formerly played for Vipers Sports Club joined South African club, SuperSport United in January 2020 but was recently released by the club after expiry of his contract.

On Wednesday, he was unveiled at Lugogo as their first signing as the club seeks to return its past glory.

I feel great for joining KCCA FC because it is one of the best teams in East Africa. One of my set goals is to help the team attain the success it deserves and to also help me get where I deserve to be. I want to use the experience got from South Africa, playing with some of the best players on the continent to get KCCA FC back where they belong,”Waiswa told the KCCA FC media team in his first interview.

The former Swedish based Vaxjo United FC and Syrianska FC player said it was easy for him to join KCCA FC since his father formerly played for the club.

He said he would also play a part in assisting young players at the club improve on their careers.

“Fans should expect a professional and dedicated player, ready to 100% serve KCCA.”

KCCA FC lost last season’s league trophy to Vipers Sports Club but were also eliminated out of the Uganda Cup in the early stages of the cup.

They have also have a torrid period for the last three years where they have not won any trophy.

By signing   the 2018 FUFA player of the year, the Kasasiro boys seek to return the lost glory at Lugogo.
